Here’s What’s New This Month
At Background Sounds, we’re all about keeping our royalty free music service fresh and exciting. It’s super important to us that we make sure our customers have plenty of great music to choose from.
So we’re kicking off January adding new tracks into popular playlists. And adding a new playlist into our music library.
New Playlist
Our first playlist for 2022 is Latin Mix. It’s a lively playlist brimming with character and rich, rhythmic Latin-inspired tunes. It’s the kind of playlist that will have you tapping your feet in no time.
You can find this playlist in our World Section. It’s sitting alongside the playlists Everything Bossa, Reggae Beats and Bollywood. An exciting and uplifting collection. Designed to help you set yourself apart from the competition with your music.
Updated Playlists
We wanted to increase the tracks we have across two of our most popular genres, indie and soul. These genres appear across several playlists that vary according to tempo. For this update, we picked three of our most streamed playlists. Take it Easy, Sunday Soul and Uplifting Soul.
Low tempo and smooth. This playlist is filled with rich, relaxed soul tracks. It’s a great choice when you want to create a relaxed atmosphere with a rich undertone.
Upbeat, cheerful and fun. This is Sunday Soul’s bigger, sassy more outgoing sibling! It’s mid/high tempo and it’s bursting with energetic, catchy soul and funk tunes.
Laidback and easy going. This playlist is full of soft, gentle indie-pop tunes that offer a light, breezy style. A great pick when you want a mellow playlist with great vocals and melodies.

We’re already busy listening to the tracks we’ll be adding to playlists next month. We also check each tracks for explicit lyrics and inappropriate content so it takes a while!
We’re also designing another new playlist and all we can say is, it’s going to be huge, so watch this space!
